Woodland Burial in Bedfordshire

Keysoe in Bedfordshire is the home to one of only two consecrated woodland burial sites in the United Kingdom. Consecration doesn't make it any more Holy, but it does ensure that the site will be protected for all time, no development will be allowed or change of use entertained.

A natural, eco burial creates a symbiotic relationship between the deceased and the woodland of tomorrow, nourishing the trees and restoring a balance between wildlife and fauna. The opposite can be said for the alternatives such as Cremations which give off toxic emissions and Municipal cemeteries which are running out of room for the interment of ashes and burials - with todays deceased joining others already in the ground.

Whatever your religion, belief or non-belief, all are welcome to rest here and allow time and nature to take its natural course.
